Hiver Help Desk Software
About Hiver
Hiver began in 2011 as GrexIt, a tool for sharing Gmail labels across a team. Co-founders Niraj Ranjan Rout and Nitesh Nandy rebuilt the product into a shared inbox and help desk that lived inside Gmail, and the company took the Hiver name in 2015. The idea was simple: teams that already worked in Google Workspace could assign emails, track status, leave internal notes, and measure response times without moving to a separate ticketing system.
That Gmail-native help desk carried the company for most of the past decade. Hiver raised $4 million in 2018 from Kalaari Capital and Kae Capital, took $4 million in debt from Mars Growth Capital in 2021, and closed a $22 million Series B led by K1 Capital in March 2022. It says more than 10,000 teams now use its software, and it employs more than 200 people across its San Jose headquarters and Bengaluru office.
In October 2026 Hiver launched Hiver Omni, which repositions the company as an agentic customer service platform for complex support. Omni runs as a standalone web application as well as inside Gmail. It adds AI agents that resolve and route conversations, AI copilots for human agents, ticketing, cross-team collaboration, and workflow automation, across email, live chat, Slack, a help center, and voice as an add-on.
The customer base leans toward mid-market and technology companies where support issues involve finance, logistics, or account teams. Customers on its site include Flexport, Egnyte, Bynder, Cohere Health, Conservice, and Ping Identity.
